Math Tutoring
About
Math was the subject I dreaded when I first started teaching. I used to believe that kids despised math and that teaching it would be a chore. Young students, on the other hand, adore math. Elementary school is very concrete, and teachers use a lot of hands-on materials to keep students interested in learning. As I progressed through the grades, I noticed that my students' enthusiasm for math waned. It may appear that finding motivation to encourage students to enjoy math is more difficult than motivating them to enjoy reading or other subjects, but there are excellent math resources available, just as there are excellent children's books. Games are one strategy I've used with great success in my classroom. My students enjoyed playing games, particularly against me.
