I tutor in math, reading, writing, and some sciences. I can also help with history and English. I’ve tutored since I was a freshman in high school, all ages k-12. I have a bachelors degree in communications and work as a dispatcher for the railroad. I miss working with kids and want to get back to tutoring.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know the student and see their likes and dislikes and where they are academically. I get with their parents and see where their teachers would like them to improve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a teachers aide for 12 years before I became a dispatcher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20 and that’s usually for an hour and a half. I come to you.
How did you get started teaching?
I’ve always had a passion for teaching others new things. My favorite it to see the lightbulb moment when someone finally understands something.
