K-2 Tutoring

Reading is my favorite to teach because it literally builds the foundation to success in every other subject area! Last year, I saw my kindergarten students grow immensely in their letter knowledge and decoding. My favorite part is the moment a student realizes they have the power (background knowledge) to read or spell.

My name is Jaci and I've been a certified elementary teacher for 3 years. I've worked with K-2 students on literacy skills (phonemic awareness, phonics/spelling, reading comprehension, fluency, writing) one-on-one and in small group settings. My approach to learning is multi-sensory and individualized to help each child reach their potential. *Sessions may take place at your home or my classroom.
