I am a Computer Science major in the Raikes School at UNL. I have a passion for software/web development, math, science, and language (English & Spanish). I have experience tutoring my younger siblings, as well as a deep understanding of the above topics.
I am passionate about helping people, and there is nothing more satisfying than knowing that you were able to have a positive impact on a student's academic career.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am a strong believer that everybody learns differently. Because of this, it's critical to get an understanding of what kinds of strategies will or won't work for any given student. It's also good to set clear, measureable goals. Making progress towards a measurable and attainable goal will keep a student motivated.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge by the hour, but I'm open to negotiating a different pricing system. My hourly rate is between $12 and $25, depending on subject and education level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to any student is to understand how they learn. Once someone knows how they learn best, they can communicate that to their teachers, who will in turn be able to better assist them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
* On a scale of 1-10, where are your skills in a given subject right now?
* Where do you want your skills to be in 1, 3, 6 months?
* Are there any specific topics within the subject that you particularly excel with? Struggle with?
