About
I enjoy working with students when they are struggling and trying to figure things out. I give them ways to overcome that anxiety and fear of being successful.
I direct my services to each child's needs and work with the parents and classroom teachers to ensure study habits and completing assignments and work on those skills to build success plan that works for that individual.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I open with a consultation with child and parents, to get a background of the student knowledge and get to know them. Introduce myself and set up an educational plan suited for the child's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in Education; Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and Masters degree in Administration. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start out with a 15 min consult with both student & parent to understand the tutoring needs and expectations. I then book the student sessions via Zoom/Google Meet and begin the tutoring process. I work closely with the parents to stay on track with the childs currently learning plan and emphasize the skill sets needed to be successful. Rates are determined by the curriculum pathway needed for the individual. Discounts are provided for multiple students per family/or multiple sessions per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I started many years ago as a volunteer at my daughters school. The teacher came to me and said put that talent to work and become a teacher! From there it is history.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked in General Education, Self contained, and special needs classrooms. I teach both virtual and in-person curriculum work.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my online tutored students worked through her hard skill sets each week and passed her entire coursework with an A!! That is the effort my students put forth to be successful !
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who takes their time with you and directs your lessons to your specific needs. I would not choose someone who just teaches general coursework. Sometimes the struggling math student needs a different approach to make it understandable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students shouldn't be afraid to speak to their teachers about their successes. And directly ask the question of: How can I improve my success in this class? Ask the teacher for areas of the content that would be helpful to make the future journey in education successful not only for the current class, but to understand the skill sets to accomplish the next level courses involved.
