YCLE (You Can Learn English)

Hello!! My name is Angelita Crockett (I go by Jyl much of the time because it's easier to say and remember). I am certified through Wake Technical Community College to teach ESL. My Bachelor's degree is in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from NCSU with a minor in Forestry. I've taught and tutored children and adults in various respects with a great interest in tutoring ESL/EFL. I've volunteered with the Hispanic Family Center of Raleigh assisting adult ELLs and have tutored reading and English to children and teens as well as adult literacy. I always look forward to opportunities to improve upon my skills in order to effectively teach students, to continuously grow and to be the best that I can be. I am very friendly and patient, with a great sense of humor and will go the extra mile! YCLE (You Can Learn English) is committed to assisting English Language Learners and literacy learners in their journey to improving their English language proficiency so that they may ultimately achieve their goals!!

I enjoy getting to know people of diverse cultures and assisting them with English language, which in many cases is the next step toward reaching their goals. I love to encourage positve thinking and instill optimism and confidence in students. I find it extremely rewarding to see ELL's eyes light up when they improve English language proficiency and meet their objectives and ultimately achieve their goals!!
