I specalize in students who are struggling not only with the accademics but also stuggling to feel confident and motivated. I am able to connect with each of my students and build a strong relationship with them, which allows me to help build their confidence.
My focus is on students feeling good about themselves and confident in their abilities. In my years of tutoring I have found that confidence is the key to success in school! I increase confidence and the grades quickly follow.
After years of being in the classroom I have found that my talents are better put to use in individual tutoring than in a classroom.
This way I am able to do what I believe is best for a child based on years of experence and a degree in education, without having to concern myself with the red tape of the school system. I was so limited in the classroom, and now I am making more of a difference with each of my students in far less time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Degree from ECU in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading education. Years later I went back and completed 30+ hours of masters level reading education credits.
