About
I have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry / Materials Engineering and posses over 20 years of Research and Development experience. For over two decades, my career as a Principal Chemical Engineer has been a testament to the powerful, often unseen, role that fundamental chemistry plays in shaping the industrial world. Based in the Charlotte area and working full-time in the cutting-edge hydrogen production industry—following foundational years, including over 13 years with BP Oil Company and 4 years with Bayotech’s crucial onsite hydrogen solutions—I have been intimately involved in solving several industrial problems. Students often view chemistry as a purely academic subject, confined to labs and equations, but I want to share how the principles of thermodynamics, kinetics, and material sciences are the essential tools we use daily. The need for young minds proficient in chemistry has never been higher; studying the subject is not just preparation for a scientific career, but preparation to become the indispensable problem-solver who keeps the lights on, powers global transit, and engineers a safer, greener future.
