I am very kind, patient, and love helping others feel better about their writing! As a graduated English major, I have all the up-to-date skills along with three years professional experience in the editing field. I was an academic tutor for two years before becoming an award-winning Editor-in-Chief of Tempo Magazine. Editing is one of my many passions and I hope I can help you achieve great work! I have always loved guiding and teaching others in their writing because no matter how certrain or insecure, my clients always walk away feeling better and knowing more. I am trying to break into the book editing world as I write ficiton novels for fun! I have been published for my short stories, articles, and poetry. I enjoy helping others achieve the best versions of themselves! I have a great passion for writing, so I want to help you feel more comfortable and confident as a writer. It's common to feel stressed about written assignments, so I want to eliminate that feeling. Writing isn't only an essential, it can be a helpful and even relaxing process. There are so many rules to the English language, which sows confusion and stress, but I love guiding and helping others through these rules to provide the best writting they can. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will make our warm introductions and then I will start off by asking what we are working on, what they would like to get out of our session(s), what they are having trouble with, and what they feel confident about. I will also ask if they have any specific questions or issues they need guidance with. From there, I will read their work and we will go over the edits together. I will tell them why certain parts need changed or resolved so that they can learn and grow into a stronger writer in the future. Editing is a fun and rewarding learning process! There is never any judgement in my sessions.
