What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1-determine what subjects they enjoy and what hobbies they have
2-determine what areas they are struggling in
3-tailor lesson to the student's needs based on examples containing their interests or relatable scenarios
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Have approximatley one semester of coursework left for a B.S in Chemistry with minors in Physics and Mathematics. I am also pursuing a B.S in Electrical Engineering as I was due to graduate three semseters early.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is somewhat determined on distance needed to drive in order to cover travel costs. However pricing is relative to the subject being requested.
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring each of my friends' girlfriends in their physics courses and realized I had a real passion for teaching in one-on-one and small group sessions
What types of students have you worked with?
University students ranging from Freshman to Senior years with majors ranging from education to chemistry and engineering. A few Highschool students as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Developed a procedure for a project in a Physical Chemistry lab for determining the enthalpy of a combustion reaction and uttillized the process to determine if structure altered enthalpy using amorphous carbon (coal) and structured carbon (graphite).
