What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get to know their studying style and how they want to be taught new material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Undergraduate in Civile Engineering from University of Alaska Anchorage.
Minor in Mathematics.
Minor in German. Spent a year abroad in Germany in highschool, continued learneing the langauage after my exchange year.
How did you get started teaching?
I tutored in college for extra money while in school. Friends told me I was good at teaching math and that I should consider teaching if I decided not to be an engineer. I am an engineer but would like to continue helping others. I have a minor in German and in Mathematics.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with college students before.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Providing information to the teacher about what types of examples help them most, if they are more theorical based or needing to see physical drawings to explain the information.
