How did you get started teaching?
I was heartbroken by how many people shunned math or were flat out afraid of it, which is a subject that I love very much. Straight out of college, I decided to change that how and wherever I could.
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary to high school; college undergraduate to graduate students; professional entering the teaching field who need to pass the math praxis tests
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My current students recently showed their projects in our school's Exhibition of Student Learning, and were excited to explain the math components.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be teachable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals for working with a tutor? Are you willing to do work outside of our tutoring sessions?
