Hi! I have over 30 years of experience in secondary and post secondary education as a math teacher, counselor, career coach, and administrator. I also work with an awesome company helping teachers across the United States prepare for ACT/SAT seminars.
My passion is helping students succeed and love to see smiles as they understand concepts. I just love to teach!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Short initial iterview to determine specific needs and set up a schedule for tutoring sessions. I use Zoom to meet with students/parents. Once we decide to proceeed, I will provide material or we can use the student's materials. I use an online booking system for students to reserve a time for tutoring.

ACT/SAT/GED Test Prep: $50/hour
High School Subjects: $40/hour
Other: $35/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I have been in education for over 30 years. My passion is helping students succeed.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a diverse group of students. For ACT prep, I have worked with students striving to benchmark or make the minimum score of 18 for Division 1 athletics. However, I have also worked with students striving for admissions/scholarships to Ivy League colleges/universities. The needs of the student determine how we proceed with tutoring.
For academic classes, I have worked with a wide range of courses and abilities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is knowledgeable in the subject matter and can explain it well to you. You need to feel comfortable enough with your teacher to ask questions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
