About
Teaching is not a job, it's a passion. I've been a licensed K-6 educator for 13 years. Having taught grades, K, 1, 2, 3, and 4, I am well versed in grade-level expectations.
I also have several licensed endorsements: Reading, ESOL, and Gifted. I'm currently working on my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.
Currently, I am professionally licensed in Florida, Virginia, and Mississippi.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to meet for tutoring sessions on Google Classroom. This will allow me to see and interact with my students. It is very user friendly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in a public school setting for the past 13 years. I've taught grades K-4th.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25/half hour (1 lesson/week)
$45/ 2 half hour lessons /week
$20/half hour for 3+ lessons
How did you get started teaching?
It was in 2nd grade that I developed a passion for reading and writing my teacher was very dedicated to teaching and made me feel like I could do anything. I wanted to share this same feeling with others. That is why I decided to become a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with general ed, Gifted, Tier 2, Tier 3, SPED, and ESOL students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There are so many wonderful events each day in my life, as I have two tiny tots of my own.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Choose an educator that listens to your struggles and provides positive support to help you become a stronger learner.
