Lastly, I will lead by example and help mold them to be citizens of integrity and honor. I have been a teacher for 6 years in the state of Missouri. I was on the Dean's List for 2 years and also earned the Dean's Transfer Scholarship as well. I graduated with Cum Laude Honors. I am certified to teach grades 1-6.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know them a little bit. I will give them some pre-assessments so that I know where they are at in their learning journey. After this, I will be able to plan accordingly to teach them in the best way they will learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching for 6 years. I have my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education 1-6. I am also working on my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have also tutored students in the past.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $25 an hour. This is a rate that my fellow teachers also charge and it seems to be very reasonable from my past students.
How did you get started teaching?
My decision to follow a career in teaching is due to my congenital desire to make a positive impact on the life of a child. Teaching is an honorable and highly respected profession in which one is able to directly affect change in the lives of others. I cannot think of a better way to provide to the improvement of society. During my journey, toward the realization of my dream of becoming a teacher, there have been many people who have helped me establish my career goals and intentions. I am a third-generation teacher and have grown up in an environment in which education was considered predominant to my future success. The aptitude to build significant relationships with my students and the perseverance to "go the extra mile" are two more of my strengths as a teacher. Through the expansion of a relationship that is open, respectful, and honest, students will know that I appreciate them and accept them as they are. I’ve made a commitment to working as hard as I possibly can and spending as much time as necessary to ensure a student’s success.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging in ages from 5-12. They all learn in completely different ways. No one student was ever the same.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I started teaching halfway through the school year and the first semester was very chaotic from what I heard. I was being observed by our curriculum director and she asked the students what had changed because the environment had changed so much. One of my students turned to her and said, "Well she really cares about us. She wants us to do our best and she always makes sure we have everything we need to be successful." That truly touched my heart and is something that I will remember forever.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell them that I am very good at teaching in ways that you learn best. I think accommodating for every kind of learned is very important so I will always find a way to help you learn in a way that is easiest for you. Also, I want to get to know you. This will make it a lot easier to accommodate to you and your learning style.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What helps you best when learning - hands-on activities, visuals, listening, etc.?
