About
I have a Bachelors in Mathematics from Missouri Baptist University. I am well versed in many different math subjects such as algebra, geometery, calculus, linear algebra, and applied mathematics. I am currently enrolled at the University of Missouri for Science and Technology. I am aquiring my Masters in Applied Mathematics. I have been tutoring since high school and would love to help out with whatever you need for Mathematics.
I enjoy Mathematics because of the simplicity in solving problems. In most cases there is one way to solve each problem. And finding the pieces to complete each problem is what I find enjoyable. Being able to show other people the simplicity of Mathematics is important to me because most dislike Math. By tutoring people I hope to show that Math is not as hard as people believe.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will talk to the student about their needs for tutoring. Then, I will create an outline for myself based on their needs. This will be shared with the student. It is to establish that both student and teacher are on the same page. Then after one lesson, I will sent out a plan of how many sessions the students needs and the plan for the future.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics.
I am currently aquiring my Master in Applied Mathematics at Missouri University for Science and Technology.
I have tutored since I was in high school. I can teach from basic mathematics to Advanced Calculus. Anything Math related I can be of assistance with.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard Price 40$ per hour.
If it is lower level math the price can be negotiated.
How did you get started teaching?
I saw my mother teach growing up. In fact she was one of my high school teachers, so that is where it began. In math classes I would always see other students struggle and hate the subject. This was because they did not have a great foundation to start out with. In mathematics it is important to have the basic foundations. And that is what I plan to do with my students. Making sure each one has a solid foundation means the sky is the limit for them.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages. The youngest being 7 and the oldest being a Senior in College.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I coach and play volleyball in my spare time. If you are in the Saint Louis area and looking for private lessons I know some people that are amazing. That being said I played 2 years of college volleyball at Missouri Baptist University. I have also coach two years for the Women's program there as well. I think sports are great for anyone. They teach competitiveness and how to work together as a team.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would make sure that the person in question is either in college for the specific degree or has at least a Bachelors in the subject matter. This means their knowledge of the subject is well rounded. Also, make sure that they have the avalibilty you are looking for. It happens often that jobs do not work out because of schedules.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure that is it something you actually do not understand and not something you have not put effort into. Many times I run into students that have not put fort effort and that is why they do not understand the subject. Make sure that you have tried it at least twice and if you still do not understand then I would contact a tutor.
