I am a retired math teacher: I have taught math from Gr 7 on up to Calculus for many years both middle school, high school and jr college. Of those, algebra is my favorite. I have tutored many students and have gotten them on their way to thier goals. I have a talent for bringing the material down to the student's level. I have many resources from which I draw and this is extremely helpful since each student has different needs.

Helping a student have that "aha" moment and say "hey, I got this" Helping a student get over their math phobia and in many cases change their attitude toward math if indeed it needed changing.

I have taught for a total of about 30 years: Cleveland OH, KY, and Shawnee Mission and JCCC. I also taught prisoners at MO Western Correctional Facility for a year! I have done computer programming, been a facility coordinator, business manager and carried mail for about 3 years before I volunteered to work in Appalachia. I was nominated for the Lieberman Teaching Award at JCCC. I love the outdoors, bicyling, camping, dogs and traveling. Currently I am doing the website and church bulletin for a church.
