I am a senior in high school talking Calculus BC so I can teach up to Calculus 1. I am very experienced in tutoring kids of all ages. I have worked at Kumon since Freshman year and have worked at Mathnasium since the summer before senior year. I have also tutored my family members so I have good experience tutoring kids in a simple and easy to understand way at all levels up to Calculus 1. With this experience and my ability to go to a student's house or tutor online, I will be able to well tutor all students in math up to Calculus 1.
Mathematics has been my favorite subject since I was a kid. I especially love teaching others Math because I enjoy it so much. I have been teaching kids Math since freshman year and have loved it ever since. Teaching Math or any subject I'm passionate about will always be appealing to me and I will always love doing it and will continue to put my best effort into teaching kids Math whether it be students at school, students at Kumon and Mathnasium, or students who need tutoring through this site.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see them work on some problems themselves to see where they're struggling and use that to decide how I want to tutor them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently taking Calculus 3 and have taken all the classes before it. I used to work as a tutor at Kumon and at two separate Mathnasiums. Before tutoring as a job, I would always help friends and family with mathematics as it has always been my favorite subject. I have a passion for math and love to help students understand it.

I have no set in stone price per hour. I prefer to discuss with whoever I'm tutoring before a price is set.
How did you get started teaching?
From the very beginning, I got started helping family and friends. I started tutoring as an actual job my Sophomore year of high school when I got a job at Kumon.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages and personalities. I've worked with students ages 6-18. I've worked with very polite students and students who were tougher to work with.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always choose a teacher you feel you will be comfortable with to start. After finding a teacher you think you'd like, make sure their teaching style matches with your learning style.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about how fast they learn, what they struggle with, and their best learning styles.
