I am a retired teacher of 31 years and have been tutoring online, with Varsity Tutors, and privately since 2015. I have taught every course my district offered from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus BC. I have experience, and success, teaching the top 20 students in my high school, as well as, the 20 most at-risk students; gifted, special needs and everyone in between. My tutoring clientele also include all of these subgroups and extend to college students also. I pride myself in finding one more way to explain something to a struggling student. I want students to not only know what to do, but why and when. Mathematics is like a beautiful picture that slowly comes into focus as a student puts all the pieces from previous math courses together with their current course. I am here to fill in the gaps, clear up misunderstanding and link new math concepts to previous concepts. I have built an entire library of resources over my career and am comfortable searching for new resources online, as needed. I am confident that I can help you, your student.
