Above And Beyond Math Tutoring
About
My service is different from others because yes, I am younger, but I am also closer in age to having learned the information I am tutoring in so it is fresh in my brain. I want kids to find learning to be fun! I make it my mission to make sure kids not only understand what they are learning, but also can use this information.
My absolute favorite part of tutoring is the smile or sign of relief on kids faces when they finally start to understand something that was challenging for them. When I see this look on their face, all their hard work was for something.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin with getting to know the student and what specifically they need help with. Next, I began to teach the student in different ways. When I find the way most helpful for the child, I go into depth until I see that the child is understanding what I am teaching.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a high school junior and I currently take three honors classes, Calculus AB, and AP US History. I tutor other students at my own school in just about every subject. I also work at Lifetime Fitness kids academy in which I am always interacting with kids.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am flexible on prices!
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring last year as a freshman to younger kids and this year, I began tutoring kids my own age.
What types of students have you worked with?
Almost every elementary school age to freshman and sophomores in high school.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Last week, I was inducted into Mu Alpha Theta, our school's elite Math Honors Society. I am also in my school's National Honors Society which only admits about 30 kids.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is willing to get to know you as a student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What specifically are you not understanding or need just a little more help with?
