Miss Moore's One On One Tutoring Services!
About
I use the skills I have gained as a teacher and a para educator, to ensure that your child and I can find the direct learning style that works for them. By providing multiple strategies and manipulatives, I work to find the best tools to provide your child with the specific one on one learning that helps them not only grow in their troubled areas, but gives them the confidence to become strong and independent in the subject area as well.
I enjoy shaping the young minds of the future. I truly love working with my students amd building connections with them that can last their whole lives through. I began teaching because I wanted to leave my mark on this world by making a difference in those of tomorrow. I believe that all children can learn, it is just a matter of finding how they learn best. Our students of today will be our future leaders of tomorrow. By aiding in helping them possess those leadership skills today, we are ensuring their raised chances of success in the future.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know a new student first. Find out any hobbies, personal interests, or any information they are comfortable sharing that helps the student to develop a relationship with me where they feel comfortable talking. This way the student can talk with me about struggles and challenges they might be having in their academic life. By showing students that I am a real person just like them, I feel it helps the student be more comfortable in a one on one session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the education field for 8 years. I currently work at Murphy Elementary school as a paraeducator. In this field, I work in small group and one on one scenarios to help my students with the use of tools and manipulatives, to be able to complete challenging assignments in an easier fashion. By using strategies such as dry erase boards, counters, read aloud, and one on one check ins, I ensure that my students can not only complete the task at hand, but feel confident in doing so. I also work with my students to de-escalate frustrations, by taking breaks and using calming strategies to make sure my students feel clear and focused to continue working.
