Learn Like A Mathematician
I have been tutoring all levels of mathematics and Spanish since 2010, and tutor lower-level math in Spanish.
I use my personal experience overcoming math struggles to make learning math simple. Students respond very well once they have this understanding, which makes them confident when taking tests.
I have been tutoring standardized test prep since 2011. I teach test-taking strategies, which include time management and choosing which questions to answer first, in order to improve test accuracy, and reduce anxiety. While at the University of Minnesota, I studied short- and long-term memory functions, and how they are used to learn and remember math concepts.
I hold bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Spanish from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

I enjoy teaching students, helping their grades improve, and watching them achieve their goals. I find it really rewarding to see a student's excitement when he/she understands a concept for the first time. That's when they want to learn more, and I know I made a difference in their life.
