No one makes math as fun and as easy as Mathnasium does. This is why we can take a student at no matter what level they are now, and see progress not only in mathematical concepts, but attitude and confidence as well. All academics recieve benefit when the hardest subject to learn is considered easy.
Too many people associate negative things about math. It is hard, it is frustrating, it is... I'm sure we've all heard a lot. Seeing kids understanding math at new levels while smiling and enjoying it is by far the best feeling in the world.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we meet to determine if it would be a good fit on both ends. If so, and you would like start, we have the student take an assessment for us to see where their current knowledge is and that's where we begin helping them.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will depend upon the needs of the child.
How did you get started teaching?
Mathnasium helps kids not only learn math, but learn confidence in themselves once they start to finally understand it, or understand it at an advanced level. Seeing their joy in how easy and fun it is for Mathnasium to help kids learn, the emotional tug it brought me and the satisifaction it gave me to help kids in this manner is one that I could not pass up.
What types of students have you worked with?
Usually students 2nd grade and up. Some show the maturity and work ethic (and good enough reading ability) by 1st grade. We also help college students and adults too if they would like help.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
Make sure it is someone the student would enjoy learning from. Learning so much easier when it is fun and enjoying.
