I taught students since 1983 to learn to think with inquiry method, helping students make connections and build understanding at deep levels. Students who are at risk, accelerate their learning and find confidence in their success as learners.
In my Masters work, i studied with mentors who teach Singapore teachers how to teach and others who excel in teaching reading. I love helping children discover their amazing abilities by eliminating hindering hurdles and developing skills.

I assess their foundational understanding, listen to their goals and perceived concerns, and build a bridge from where they are to where they want to be.

Teaching license in Elementary Ed and 20+ years of experience
Experience teaching middle and high school students and college students.
Advanced training in literacy and math instruction, as well as responsibility to train teachers in my school district

I continue to only charge $50 per hour of instruction, even though that was my rate 20 years ago.
I do not charge for my preparation time or my travel time.
