I have tutored maths for 2 years for grades 3,4 and 5. My educayional qualifications are an MBA with bachelor's in metallurgical engineering.
I have used Khan academy and have improvided to impart concepts to students with warm patience and encouragement to make them think through the comcepts with some sense of humor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first session is an introduction, learning about the student by talking to them and their parents. Their grades and areas which need focus. Its not always about grades, learning is the key focus and grades will follow. Familiarize myself about their books and online learning curriculum and set up the tution cadence
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in engineering from Punjab engineering college in India, and a Master's in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin

How did you get started teaching?
I have a kid who is 12 and was struggling with a divorce which necessiatated a change in direction back in 2014
What types of students have you worked with?
Grades 3,4 and 5. I can comfortably teach high school maths, will just need a day or two to familiarize
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The parents ofa kid I had taught reaching out to me that "Yash" was asking about me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Focus on learning, grades will follow
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think a teacher can assess the unique needs of teh student in a 1x1 setting, through the course of tutoring.
