English Fluency Lessons
About
I believe everyone can learn--even when it doesn’t seem possible. And this includes the English language. I can help you become much more fluent in English and provide you resources to use on your own to study English.
After many years as an educator, I retired from full-time work and now devote much of my time to private tutoring, especially with students who want to improve their English. Here is a link to more information about me and my services: http://bit.ly/EnglishFluencyLesson.
I love my time with students as they become more fluent in English. I enjoy creating learning plans with students that lead to improved English skills.
I live in St. Paul, MN and feel enriched by its variety of languages and cultures. I also see how important it is to be fluent in English. The primary language in most workplaces, schools, and government services is English. Therefore, my goal as a tutor is for my students to reach the fluency level they need and desire. Seeing that happen is so gratifying for me. I am very pleased with their success and appreciate being a part of it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first lesson, we will talk about what you want to learn through these lessons. I want to learn what your skills and strengths are, and we will make a plan that will guide the lessons and your study time between lessons.
After that, we will study topics and skills important to you. You will have activities to do between lessons, We will spend part of each lesson reviewing the work you did and learning new concepts. Periodically, you will take short tests to measure the progress you make.
Much of the instructional material is online. If you want to bring material to the lessons, we can work on that, too.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology. I also completed graduate work in Educational Administration. Through this education, I earned several teaching licenses.
