About this tutor

I have over 15 years of Spanish/English translation as I grew up with both languages. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world (after Mandarin) and opens doors to billions of people around the world. I am also a seasoned Toastmasters with a passion for public speaking. I believe anyone can improve their language and communication skills and welcome success into their lives.

I very much enjoy helping others improve their knowledge and skills. I like to take my time to understand my students' knowledge and skill level in order to personalize each session. I use different teaching methods to accommodate for different learning styles.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing depends on subject and difficulty level starting at $20/hr. Payment is acceptable through Venmo or PayPal.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching younger students since high school. As a sophomore I started tutoring grade school levels. Later on, as a college student I would also tutor other college students in specific subjects and classes I had already passed.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with grade school students all the way to college level. I have also taught post-college students.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I welcome students to ask questions as they come, no matter how "useless" they may think the question is. It's best to clear things out before assuming an inadequate position. It's also helpful to practice the skills beyond the tutoring lessons, as many questions arise then that may be answered in the next session.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about what goal you'd like to achieve. This helps guide the lessons and clarifies your focus. Also consider how much time and effort you're willing and able to commit for your goal to be successful. Please let me know your proficiency level to guide the lessons properly.
