I am a student also. I will not talk to you like a teacher or authority figure. I am good at math because I had good instructors and it's easy and kind of relaxing to me. I enjoy solving problems with a simple solution and I understand that most people don't use Algebra in real everyday life or for a job. I also know that you have to do it for a better job and education.
Job is a job and I will be the first one to teach this. Not everyone will be a doctor or lawyer. I am going back to school and want a good idea for the teaching position I want.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introduction and getting to know them personally and their goals for school. Also why they need a tutor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a tutor in college for 2 years and understand how to be patient with people and how to relate/talk to them.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It's all about the distance. I will go pretty far..as long as you pay me. After setting up a good relationship with the student, we can do zoom for the rest at much cheaper price.
How did you get started teaching?
Didn't like that some teachers are not good at teaching and have become burnt out.
What types of students have you worked with?
All college students, sadly they are not all college level learners and I mostly helped with Math.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Helping student get an A in college Algebra. And how they started to enjoy the work, at least was easier for them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet with them and establish a plan and relationship. I know that I am more comfortable with people who you know or not afraid of.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is the reason for this help. Are you embarrassed to say something in class. Because I know that it's tough and you don't want to sound dumb. I will always try and help you out with your schooling as well as life's problems.
