About
Hello! I have a history of environmental education and outdoor education. For the last 10 years, I've worked with students from ages 4 to well into adulthood teaching a variety of things: environmental science, biology, sailing, social emotional learning competencies, backcountry skills, leadership, and more.
I'm dedicated to helping my students grow their skills not only in their subject area, but helping them develop and maintain skills throughout their learning career. Student engagement comes through autonomy, curiousity, postive mentorship, and empowerment. I hope to help you or your child achieve all that they can with my mentorship and tutoring, and work them to attain the skills they need for success.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I want to get to know who my students are. We'll share names and something about ourselves, and work to get to know each other over time!
I like to know what your goals and learning outcomes are. Then, we'll discuss some of the ways that you have learned successfully in the past, and some new strategies and tactics that may help you in the future! Together we'll create a learning plan so that we can work to accomplish your goals.
I will be working with you to help you be accountable for your own learning, and to empower you to gain skills so that you can succeed in the classroom and beyond.
