About
I love English. I grew up as an ESL student but have spent many years improving my speaking and writing skills to a professional level. I believe that every student will always need proficient English skills to thrive in their academic endeavors.
From 2011-2019, I've worked with ESL students to improve their grammar, sentence structures, word choice and phonics to achieve fluency. I've worked as a Education Assistant in multiple schools in Minneapolis District, facilitating advance math groups and English support groups to at-risk and English-as-second language students. I graduated at the University of Minnesota with my BA in English and pursued my MA in Creative Writing at Hamline University. However, I am now in a career transition into my MA in Art Therapy and pursuing higher education in mental health.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know their quirks and style of learning. Everyone is different and they learn different. Everyone engages different. It's my job to figure out what feels most natural and conductive for my student and pursue that.
