When I first meet students, I try to get them to know them as people first and students second. I'd like to know what their interests are how they see themselves as a student and what motivates them to be successful.

I am an open book with students and usually can get them to reveal their frustrations and motivations very quickly so it does not take long for us to build rapport and start our work together.

I have a master of science degree from the University of Minnesota in Child and adolescent psychology. I also hold a degree in elementary education and special education. I have licenses in education K6 and Special Education with a specific learning disability and emotional and behavioral disorders.

I have worked for 34 years with students with autism, speech and language disabilities, attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities, mild cognitive impairment, and regular education students seeking additional support.

My rate is $60 per hour.
