I am currently a 3rd year Honors student at Wayne State University on the Pre-Medical track studying Biological Sciences and Health Psychology. I have actively tutored college-level students for the past two years, as well as students in grades 6-12. Due to my rigorous and comprehensive schedule over the past several years, I am proud to say I specialize in teaching everything and anything. I am passionate about the world of science and mathematics and would love to use my strong teaching skills to help build the next generation of brilliant students!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to get an understanding of the base of the student in the course before diving into the material. After all, building a strong core of the main concepts of a course will allow for growth later on. Once this has been assessed, we can begin by utilizing active learning skills to start the student on the right path for success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have almost completed my Bachelors in Biological Sciences, so I have taken every college-level science, math, physics, and english course imaginable. This includes, but is not limited to, organic chemistry, human physiology, cell biology, physics 1+2, Calculus 1+2, Statistics 1+2, and so on.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would, of course, like to establish a baseline for pricing with the family based on their needs/sessions per week. I bring a lot of expertise to the table, but will charge much less than a professional tutor as I am still a student myself.
How did you get started teaching?
I began formally teaching during my freshman year of college as a teacher assistant, as well as a student instructor. I am also the head of a molecular genetics lab, so I teach graduate students and Ph.D. candidates on a weekly basis. I also have two younger brothers that I have helped reach immense levels of academic success.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from 6th grade all the way up to 12th, as well as college/post-bac students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most recent fond memory was being recognized by my University's School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for academic success and outstanding work as a laboratory assistant.
