What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first meeting I assess the student to see exactly what skills need to be focused on. This gives me a good starting point with the student.

I have six years of reading intervention experience at the elementary level and I am a certified elementary teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40.00 an hour session.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in the education field as a substitute teacher at all grade levels. I have worked for the local school district in four different positions since 2005.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked mostly with elementary students, but have also worked with middle school and high school students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You need to find the right person for you. Take a look at their experience and do not be afraid to ask questions of the tutor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students need to be able to identify their individual weaknesses, and be able to express their concerns about what they need help with from their tutor.
