I am a third grade elementary teacher. I am very passionate about education and math. I graduated Rochester College with a Major in Mathematics. I have also tutored throughout my college career at my college, elementary school I worked at, and at a local tutoring center. Tutoring and being involved in the schools has allowed me to work with a range of ages (K-12th), all resulting in academic growth.
I also presented at the Detroit Council of Teachers of Mathematics to other teachers based on a project study I completed in a 6th grade classroom. I regularly take part in mathematics and technology conferences to grow as an educator and stay informed!
I love kids and am passionate about helping children reach their maximum potential! Math has always been a passion of mine & I like the challenges it can present.
Ms. Hall worked with my two twin girls, both going into fourth grade! They always looked forward to working with her and really came to like math and reading. She was able to meet them where they were at academically and build skills they would need in the future. We loved working with her, highly recommend!! :)
I will start by getting to know the student and will meet them where they are at academically. We will start on the area of focus and build skills as he/she progresses, addressing any misconceptions or foundational skills we need to build along the way.
With students K-6, I will ask questions / give a pretest on the area of focus to determine where to start. This data will be crucial and give me insight as to what areas can be improved on!
