Andrew Tutors! stands out because it is a very friendly, calm-paced, happy way of learning new material. I, Andrew, make sure to explain information speicifically to the students needs. I can come up with new problems and work on them step-by-step with the student until they're ready to work on them on their own!
I've been tutoring at Oakland University as a college tutor for two semesters now and I aboslutely love it. Tutoring puts me in a place of fulfillment when I see a student grasp new information that we went through, no matter how long it takes. I want a student to be able to leave a tutoring session and think, "Wow! This isn't as bad as I thought it would be!"

I helped students grasp ideas and information they learned from lecture to make sure they fully undertstood the information being taught. I did this by having a one-hour lecture/Q&A session twice a week with about 25 students at a time, this gives students a more comfortable enviornment to ask questions, rather than in a lecture hall with 200 students.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher of my area of expertise is simple. I would make sure that the teacher has a thourough profile and they have listed the subjects that they are comfortable teaching. I would also make sure that the teacher has listed their experience in the field of study and that they understand the direction to head in with each subject they tutor. Lastly, the teacher must be able to effectively communicate with students to truly understand and grasp what the student needs in a teaching lesson. This advice comes from years of experience of being tought, followed by experience of myself as a teacher.
