Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, do a situational study of where they are in the subject matter.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No standard pricing. Possibly $28 to $35 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
By training and mentoring entry-level engineers in some of the companies I worked for as a senior engineer and supervisor. Now, Fortune 500 company engineers as a corporate trainer in quality/reliability engineers methods. Also, by tutoring struggling high school students in algebra and trigonometry about 10 years ago.
In the past five years I have been teaching the Bible to adult men who have no knowledge of it. Or of classic Judaism or Christianity.

Mostly math-challenged. Also, eager to learn about sacred scripture
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Arranging to have a Bishop address a class I was teaching.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pick one who treats you like his/her only student, and not one of many. One who will drill the principles of math and physics until you think in these terms in everyday life. STEM is vital for the continuation of American way of life.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. How often are you available
2. How much notice is needed for a session
3. What is the pricing.
