Chess Tutoring: I learned how to play chess at the age of 9. I'm a rated tournament chess player, a member of the Michigan Chess Association and the United States Chess Federation. I was the past president of the Oak Park Chess Club for 22 years. I've played 3000+ over-the-board games. I've taken my chess team to three first place victories in the Detroit Metro League. Currently, I've been teaching chess in elementary schools. Chess is my passion, and I would like to help my students improve their chess game from beginner to intermediate, and beyond. Math Tutoring: I have always enjoyed math, and have a math-oriented mind. My math expertise areas are in basic elementary math, Algebra, and Geometry. Given my chess tutoring experience with elementary age children and adults, I would welcome the opportunity to share my math expertise to help students develop their math knowledge and skills.

I can teach both chess and math either in person at your home, desired location (depending on distance), or via an online learning format. We can discuss whichever learning method may be preferred .
