Evan's Tutoring

Evan was able to connect with my son and help him to understand that his schoolwork was more than just finishing his homework. He helped him to learn study skills and test prep. He was also easy to work with, very flexible!

Evan has such a great attitude and quite a way with kids. His use of straight talk is calming and effective. My ADHD son enjoyed Evans teaching style as well as his personality. They are able to laugh together, really clamp down and study together as well as have good honest conversations as a trusted adult in my 12 years old life. My son has a better grasp of how to prioritizing his work and make strategic plans for larger or multiple homework projects. Evans focus is to teach the kids to think on their own by walking them through the process as needed, then supporting their progress until it is sustainable. Evan is a consummate professional. I had the opportunity to work with Evan this year on a professional level where he assisted me in tutoring sixteen well meaning but unruly high school freshmen. Evan was 100% reliable and very good at relating to the young men and helping them to understand the material. His assistance in the areas of math and science were especially helpful. He is smart, polite, relatable, and firm- an excellent combo for a tutor of this age group.
