I have been Michigan certified math teacher for 29 years and I have taught every math subject in high school. As a teacher I am always willing to help my students including allowing the to send me pictures of probles on remind so I can help them when they are stuck on a problem when they go home. Having taught all math classes I am very knowledgable about the skills necessary for students to prorgress in their math classes.
ON-LINE tutoring available during this time schools are out. Willing to tutor for 30 minutes at a time instead of my normal hour of tutoring. Should be ready for on-line tutoring starting Monday.
I enjoy seeing students develop problem solving skills that they can use with any math class they take. I enjoy watching students "get it". I try to expose students to different methods if what they have tried hasn't worked. I enjoy working one on one or in small groups with students because sometimes that is all they need to move them forward.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to see meet with the student and hear what they have to say about their math experience. I like to see past tests so I can see where students might have holes in their learning. It helps to know this before we tackle the new information so I can adjust my teaching.
