About this tutor

I have worked with three students from Tutors.com, and all have shown significant improvement.

I use physical representations whenever possible, such as plastic "pie pieces" for fractions; quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies for percent; beads for adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division; rulers and number lines; etc.

I love seeing students succeed!

My first teaching experience was with a summer program teaching computer theory and repair, math, and electronics for students age 6 to 13.

I then taught adults computer theory and repair in the industry.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I have worked for the Wayne/Oakland Science Olympiad (WOSO), Elementary students, since 2015.  I write and proctor the Astronomy Event, and work with the Coaches who prepare their students for the Event.

Science Olympiad is dedicated to expanding the science curriculum beyond the classroom, creating a technology-literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by students.  It requires teamwork, science, and engineering skills.
