What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know my students' interests and their goals. I like to use real world application and examples of how and when certain subjects will be used. I also like to have students walk through problems with me as if they are teaching me. Not only does this highlight strengths and weaknesses, but it cements the knowledge they already posses.
