Love Tutoring
About
I was a very successful teacher prior to retiring, garnishing several awards, including Sam's Club, "Teacher of the Year".I have been referred by parents whose children I tutored to other parents. I have successfully tutored 10 children throughout my time living in St. Clair Shores. Upon retiremant 3 years ago, I moved back to my hometown of Plymouth, MI and would like to continue tutoring again after a 3 year hiatus. My teaching career spanned 34 years and I have worked at all levels K-12 and with regular and special needs students.
There is nothing more gratifying than being able to help my students improve and extend their skills. Teaching is definitely what I was meant to do and I absolutely love it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I will begin with a short, but fun activity to let my students get to know me. Then I will have them do some assessments to find out which skills they need to strengthen. I then tailor their work to fit both their strengths and weaknesses. I also like to contact their teacher(s) to get any input from them. I have helped students improve skills, complete homework tasks, and do extended projects.
