About
Hi! I’m Lindsey Springer!
I am currently a college at Grand Valley State University studying elementary special education, with endorsements in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cognitive Impairments. I have worked with children in a variety of capacities, including in school settings such as a semester long internship in K-4 self contained special education classrooms, a semester long apprenticeship in a 6th grade resource room, school based experiences for my college classes for tutoring in reading and math for elementary students, and working as a substitute teacher in K-12 classes in both general education and special education.
In out of school settings, I worked in a daycare for 2 years as a preschool teacher, I tutored high school students in a variety of academic subjects, primarily reading and math, life skills, and test prep for 1.5 years, and now work in applied behavior analysis as a registered behavior technician for children with autism.
I absolutely love teaching, and have a breadth of experience that could make me a good fit for your student! If you are looking for someone with experience working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, I’m your girl! I am experienced with differentiating instruction, so I will work with the student to find the best way for them to learn. My biggest goal is to help students see tangible results, and grow their confidence in their abilities!
