About
I am a high schooler who excels in mathematics and is a year ahead of my class in math. It's always been my favorite subject and I hope that helping others understand it and excel at it makes it their favorite subject too!
I have been tutoring my peers through my school tutoring program for many years, and my own mom hired me as a summer math tutor for my little sister. I also babysit for multiple families so I'm experienced in working with younger matheticians if needed.
I already work as a lifeguard at the YMCA and am looking for another part-time job where I can help people. I'm also an officer in the NHS at my high school. If you're looking for a helpful and patient tutor that can adapt to different learning styles and speeds, then I'm your girl!
I like that math is so concrete, and it's the same in every part of the world. While it may seem daunting at first, math is actually something that I've come to appreciate quite a lot and I hope that I can help others see the virtue in math, and that it can actually be fun sometimes!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by getting to know the student by asking how they learn best (how do they usually study for a test, which format of information do they remember best, etc), and what they are struggling with in the subject matter. I ask them how they think I can help them and what they need me to do to for them to increase their knowledge and fluency in math. I keep tutoring fun and interesting while also focusing on the specific needs of my student, and learning more about them as we go along.
