About
I am a preschool teacher at a Catholic school in Ada, Michigan. However, I have taught and tutored students of all ages. I have a math degree, as well as elementary certification.
I love helping students overcome obstacles and reach that lightbulb moment. It's very rewarding to see people who once hated math become more confident in their skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I think it's important to ask questions and get to know a new student, even briefly. Asking for help can be intimidating and awkard, so I like to make the student feel comfortable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified elementary teacher. My major in college was math, so I'm certified to teach math K-8. However, I have done a lot of tutoring in higher-level math. I've tutored middle school, high school, and college students in math for 4 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always wanted to be a teacher. Last year I taught 3rd grade at a charter school, and I currently teach preschool at a Catholic school. But for the past 4 years I've tutored privately on the side. I love helping students reach that lightbulb moment.
