About
I really enjoy the moment when a student finally understands the topic we have been working on. It is incredibly gratifying, especially when we have spent some time trying to tackle it. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University. Prior to that I studied Neuroscience and Psychology and minored in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State. I was also a member of the Honors College and made my way to the Dean's List every semester.
I think the best part about science is sharing your work with others and being able to communicate ideas on both an individual and an institutional level. I enjoy constantly learning and being an overall well-rounded scientist. Also, I am a total bookworm and have read my fair share of the classics as well as many modern fiction and non-fiction books.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually like to ask them to explain how much they understand the subject matter and then let them tell me where they have gaps in their understanding. Depending on what we find, I adjust accordingly. If there is a broader misunderstanding, I like to start reviewing the first lesson and move forward, even if it's just a review.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is dependant on the age of the student, the topic matter, and how far I would have to travel (if at all).
What types of students have you worked with?
My first experience with tutoring was in high school. I spent two years as a paid tutor for student-athletes and volunteered in my study hall to tutor students in the bottom 10% of their class. In college, I was often hired by my peers
