Hi there! I have been an English teacher for eight years. My BA is in English Literature but I specialize in teaching English as a Second Language. I am fluent in Arabic and currently teach newcomers, whom I work to prepare to use English in everyday life and academically. I have a passion for language and a keen eye for editing essays. Teaching English and helping students to become better readers, writers, and overall communicators is what I love to do!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will use the students contact information to set up an appointment and send a Zoom link for our session. Session is one hour only. If further hours are needed, they can be arranged.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per session. Each session is one hour.
$30 for essay editing for essays that are 1-3 pages long
$50 for essays that are between 5-8 pages long.
For essays longer than 8 pages, please contact me for custom pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
My mom was a teacher, as are many members of my family. I was inspired by my English teachers to major in English Literature and discovered my love of teaching language along the way. My first job was in Bahrain, teaching English to Bahraini students whose first language is Arabic.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students have been mostly middle school and high school students, though I have taught and tutored elementary students while I was a substitute teacher. I started tutoring in middle school and continued through college. The majority of my students were and are English Language Learners.
