I'm certified Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2) and Special Education Early Childhood teacher. I have years of tutoring experiences from early childhood to adult in various settings (individual tutoring, group tutoring, public school setting, etc.). Supporting students with reading/writing skills and Korean skills is my true joy. I love getting to learn where they need help and getting to know each student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always try to make a visit to have face-to-face conversation with not only parents but also with students. At first visit, I ask questions on what parents/students are looking for. Also, I try to find what students find fun so I can bring in such topics to tutoring sessions. I always start tutoring sessions with light conversation to catch up to build up relationship with students, especially with new students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified Early Childhood (Birth-2nd grade) and Special Education Early Childhood teacher. I have B.A in Early Childhood and Communication and M.S in Special Education Early Childhood.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have numerous years of working with students from all background. Not only I have experiences with young children, I have been tutoring elementary/middle school aged students reading and writing.
