About

I'm a college student studying Diagnostic Medical Sonography, specializing in English. I have taken many English classes and reading classes throughtout school. I love english/reading and would love to help others. English has always been my strongest subject and I continue to practice and learn new skills even when I'm not in an english/reading class. I have a true passion to help others reach their goals so that they can pursue whatever they want in life. I have helped others in these subjects before, but I feel the need and want to help more people.

It's very rewarding for me to help others achieve their goals. I give my students 100% all of the time because that's what they deserve. Also getting to teach others about a subject I love brings me great joy.

Frequently asked questions

My process can be different with each student depending on their needs and what makes them most comfortable. But I usually start by learning a little about the student and then creating a goal with them. Making an outline and ways we can reach their goals. I will layout a plan that will best help the student and make sure they're comfortable with that plan.

I have taken english and reading classes in high school and college. I also help other classmates with essays they need to write and/or readings they're assigned.

I would like my standard pricing to be around $15-20 an hour. Because I'm a full time student and have another job, that's where I would like my pricing to fall. I also will make sure to give my students 100% and put in extra time for them if it's needed/wanted.

I actually didn't think about tutoring until I was helping a student one time with a paper. We both were in the same class and she notices that I always receive A's on my papers so she asked me to give her some helpful tips to achieve the same grades and she found my advice to be very helpful. She was the one who said I should look into tutoring. Another thing that helped me get into wanting to tutor was my mother. She's a teacher and always loved reading my papers and told me I had a real talent.

I have worked with people around the same age as me. Mostly people that I took classes with. I helped them with essays, reading assignments, and so on.

Look for a teacher who will put in the time. Someone who will make it comfortable for you. A teacher who gets to know you and your goals to make it most beneficial for you. Also someone who is patient when teaching you. So many people try to rush students, but they all learn differently.

What their goals are? What they need help with? What's challenging them? Why is it challenging them? There are many other questions you can ask.
