What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. I get to know the student by asking what they like to read, favorite subject, and toy or game that they enjoy.
2. I have them write a story about their favorite activity.
3. Play a game with them so they can get to know me.
4. Allow them to ask questions about about me.
5. Tell them about me when I was a child and allow them to ask me questions as they look at pictures of me when I was a little girl.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. I have a Masters Degree elementary education and have worked in this field for 17 years. Also, I had 2 students that I tutored that did increase their grades in their perspective classes.
2. I work for the public school system and we are mandated to take various classes throughout the schoolyear to endure that we keep our teaching skills up-to-date.
3. I absolutely love teaching and preparing children for a successful academic school year.
